IELTS Trainer Course: Teaching IELTS Certificate
The Teaching IELTS course is for English teachers who want to coach candidates for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). India has one of the largest groups of IELTS test takers in the world, driven by study, work and migration to the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Trainers who understand the test format and band descriptors are in steady demand.
APTTI's Teaching IELTS course is a 60-hour online certificate (4 months) for English teachers who want to become IELTS trainers. It covers the format of the Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking tests, how the band descriptors work, and how to teach the strategies and language candidates need. It is assessed online, and the certificate is notarised in Canada.

Before you enrol
Do I need a certificate to become an IELTS trainer in India?
No law requires one, but coaching centres usually look for strong English, teaching experience and a TEFL or IELTS-teaching certificate.
Does this course make me an IELTS examiner?
No. IELTS examiners are recruited and trained by the test partners themselves. This course trains you to prepare candidates for the test.
Is IELTS Academic different from General Training?
Yes. Listening and Speaking are the same for both. Reading and Writing differ: Academic suits university study, while General Training suits work and migration.
