Online TEFL Course: 120-Hour TEFL/TESOL Certificate

APTTI's online TEFL course trains you to teach English to speakers of other languages, in India, abroad or online. The Certificate has 10 modules and 120 hours of training, which is the basic requirement for most ESL and EFL teaching jobs. You can go further with the 200-hour Diploma, a PG Diploma with one or two specialisations, or the 540-hour High-End TEFL/TESOL course.

APTTI's online TEFL course starts with the 120-hour, 10-module TEFL/TESOL Certificate (6 months, Class 10 pass), studied online with tutor support. Higher levels are the 200-hour Diploma, PG Diplomas of 280 or 360 hours with Business English and/or Young Learners specialisations, and the 540-hour High-End course. Study and assessment

Online, self-paced, with tutor support. Each module ends with multiple-choice questions. Higher levels add projects, lesson plans or case studies. Tutor support is available by Google Meet, Zoom, WhatsApp, phone and email.

Your certificate

Certificates are issued by AP Teacher Training Institute (APTTI), a sister concern of International TEFL Canada.
Certificates are notarised in Canada.
The physical certificate and grade sheet are posted to you within 30 to 90 days of finishing the course.

Scope of this qualification

This is a professional English-teaching qualification. Employers decide which certificates they accept, and it does not replace the B.Ed or D.El.Ed and TET/CTET needed for government school posts in India. We do not promise jobs, salaries or visas.

How many hours is the APTTI online TEFL course?

The Certificate is 120 hours over 10 modules. The Diploma is 200 hours, the PG Diplomas are 280 or 360 hours, and the High-End course is 540 hours.

How much does the APTTI TEFL course cost?

How long do I have to complete the TEFL course?

The Certificate and Diploma run for 6 months each, the PG Diplomas for 10 or 12 months, and the High-End course for 18 months.

Is TEFL the same as TESOL?

The two terms overlap. APTTI's course is titled TEFL/TESOL because it prepares you to teach English both where it is a foreign language and where it is a second language.

Can I study the TEFL course from anywhere in India?

Yes. The course is online, so you can study from any city or town with an internet connection. Tutor support is available by Google Meet, Zoom, WhatsApp, phone and email.

When will I receive my TEFL certificate?

The physical certificate and grade sheet are posted within 30 to 90 days after you finish. Shipping is free for learners in India.

Do I need a degree to join?

No degree is needed for the Certificate (Class 10 pass) or the Diploma (Class 12 pass). The PG Diplomas and High-End course need a degree. Many employers abroad also prefer a bachelor's degree.
