Pronunciation focus for Telugu speakers
Telugu speakers often add a final vowel to words ending in a consonant ('bookuu'), say /f/ as 'p' and /z/ as 'j', and merge /v/ and /w/. Word stress patterns from Telugu can shift the stressed syllable in longer English words.
The Teaching Phonetics and Live Phonetics courses show you how to work on these features with your learners, and with your own pronunciation. See also what mother tongue influence is.
