Pronunciation focus for Assamese speakers
Assamese speakers may say English /s/ with a sound close to the Assamese velar fricative, and may use /s/ where English has 'ch' or 'sh'. Vowel length and the /v/–/w/ contrast are also common practice points.
The Teaching Phonetics and Live Phonetics courses show you how to work on these features with your learners, and with your own pronunciation. See also what mother tongue influence is.

Yes. APTTI's TEFL/TESOL courses are available to learners in Guwahati online, either self-paced with tutor support or in live online batches with a trainer.
What is the TEFL course fee in Guwahati?
APTTI's fees are the same in Guwahati as anywhere in India: the TEFL/TESOL Certificate is ₹12,000 + GST (USD 199 for international learners), the Diploma ₹18,000 + GST (USD 299 for international learners), and each 60-hour specialist certificate ₹9,000 + 18% GST (USD 130 for international learners).
Can I get a TEFL job in Guwahati?
English-medium schools, coaching centres and online teaching are the main routes, and many teachers move on to teach abroad. A 120-hour TEFL certificate, fluent English and a good demo lesson help, but no course can guarantee a job.
Can I do TEFL in Guwahati without a degree?
Yes. The 120-hour Certificate needs a Class 10 pass and good English, and the 200-hour Diploma a Class 12 pass; the PG Diplomas and High-End course need a degree. Many jobs abroad and some online schools also require a degree.
